Camron Latvala

Hi my name Cameron, I am 23 and  I have been homeless for 4 years. I was first placed in foster care at the age of 16 because of abuse, drug addiction and mental illness from my parents. I ran away from home twice, the second time I ran away I was 16 years old. During this time I was homeless on and off, going from one house to the next. I began to develop a drug addiction to heroin, alcohol, and benzos. That is why I am currently homeless now. I am sober now in recovery and I am never looking back!

What is one important lesson learned while transitioning into adulthood?

Never act on impulse, treat everyone with respect and initial respect, and never ever judge anyone no matter who they are.

What are your goals for adulthood?

My goal is to get into the entertainment industry. Modeling music and maybe a little acting. I want to use that fame to open my own non-profit organization to help foster youth, homeless people, drugs -addicts and single mothers, veterans and even convicts. I have been through it all and seen it all so I know how to provide the right tools to make these people happy, successful and full of life.

What is one thing you would like Seed House Project’s assistance in?

Housing, connections with modeling, music  and help with any employment.
