Destiny Loyd

Hi My name is Destiny Lloyd Im 22 and I have been homeless for about 6 months. I became homeless when my job reduces my hours which caused me to struggle in paying rent. It made my time as a young adult really hard. I eventually got evicted and was then living on the streets.

What is one important lesson learned while transitioning into adulthood? 

One lesson I learned is saving money is a huge thing I need to develop in. I also learning how to budget, the hardest part with out accountability is sticking to the budget.

What are your goals for your adulthood? 

My goals for adulthood is to become financially stable and to have a higher education. My ultimate goal in life is to become an African American studies teacher.
