Oliver Mitchell
Hi my name is Oliver Mitchell I am 19 years old and I have been homeless for nearly 3 months. I’m transgender. Sometimes what your parents and family want are different from what you want. I want to be happy and transition. My family did not really want that. I like to think that what’s happened with me being gone is better for everybody.
What is one important lesson learned while transitioning into adulthood?
One thing I’ve learned is that things hurt less the more you do them. Waking up and going through the routines gets easier.
What are your goals for your adulthood?
My goals for adulthood are mainly involving survival. I have this really vague idea of what I need to do. I’d like to be stable, healthy, happy adult but that is currently looking like a lofty goal. Maybe I can eventually.
